As James bounced and squealed, Rook could only stare at him and then give out another grunt mostly because he could just imagine what was going through the ghoul's mind and none of it abided well for the Gangrel. If he didn't give up details then he knew that they'd be getting filled in for him.
He took the seat that Mab had cleared for him. "I'm not sure if they were trying to press in or where just pissed off and looking for someone to take it out on. Either way they probably weren't expecting a Toreador to make himself their new god or face the giant, pissed off wolf at his side." He reached over and retook Mab's hand before she could worry overly much. He knew James wouldn't understand why becoming the wolf was such a big deal when he had only ever known the raven but Mab did. "Ash was able to talk me back out of it. And I didn't get the chance to maul anyone to death before they all ran off."
"So Ash knows now—about life before now." Which Rook supposed was one good thing to come of it. Because otherwise how did you bring that up in a conversation. Oh, by the way, I spent who knows how many years living as one animal before living as another. Could you pass me the remote?
