Rook looked at James and considered for a moment before he gave a nod and let the matter drop. Whatever had been said seemed to not bother him and as long as there was no actual threat he'd let it go. Then his eyes were moving over to Mab as she spoke. His response at first was to just give a grunt. The damn minx knew exactly what she was doing. Of course, she did.
"I suppose that all depends on if you mean after I found him surrounded by a bunch of Anarchs." Might as well tell her that much. She was likely to hear about it anyway. Especially since as she put it Daddy was the Sheriff. Even if it didn't get put out there publicly, surely her sire would end up warning her to be careful.
"Or after we talked and I gave him the feathers and we ended up making out on the street." It was a good thing that their kind had no choice but to sleep once the sun was up or otherwise Rook wouldn't have slept at all. As it was from the time he made it back to the apartment until the time sleep claimed him, all Rook could dwell on was his reaction to Ash and what had happened between them.
