Although the idea had started out randomly, it had seemed like so much fun! So they had run with it, and she was really looking forward to having everyone over for the night. She knew it was going to be a lot of fun. She had gone out with Kurt earlier to pick up the stuff for their outfits as well as to stock up on Ice Cream, drinks and anything else they might need.

She had spent a while getting ready after she got home, because even a party at her own apartment required her to look good! It was essential. She had managed to find the dress she had found online the night before and when she had put it on, she felt amazing. She loved it! She checked her reflection in the mirror, smoothing the dress and admired the fabulous hair and make up job that Kurt had done on her.

She set about making sure everything was ready, everyone should start arriving soon and she couldn't wait!

"If you say so," she laughed, shaking her head and rolling her own eyes back at him.

"I'm glad you had a good summer," she said, "but yeah, it is easy to miss this city when you're not here, when it becomes your home," she agreed. Which she did now, Lima was where her dads were but this city was where she belonged. "I'll take that," she said when he held up the ice cream, taking it and putting it in the freezer. "Can I get you a drink?" she offered

"Yeah, I'd love one. I'll have whatever's going." He answers as he follows her into the kitchen nodding at some people he recognized and some that didn't that caught his eye.

"So when is opening night?" He asked thoroughly interested. "I take it you've already started thinking about your Tony acceptance speech?" He teases. "Which better include me." he adds for good measure with a chuckle.

She poured him a glass of wine, as well as another for herself, she felt like she could use it right now. She handed it over to him, "here you go, I hope you still like this one," she said, it was one that they had often bought.

"I don't know yet," she said honestly, "I haven't started rehearsals yet, I will probably get my schedule for that in the next few days, fitting that in along with school should be interesting," she chuckled, shrugging. "And nope, no Tony speech considered, I am not getting ahead of myself with this."

	"Of course, this is the best one out there!" He grins as he take the glass and takes a small sip. He listens to her and nodding as she rattles off her mature plans. "That's really great Rachel. "It always was your favorite," she agreed with a nod. "And well I'm trying, I didn't think I was even getting the part,so i'm just stll getting my head around the fact that I have," she admitted. "And everyone else is good, the usual love life dramas with some. A lot of the Warblers are in New York now, and it's nice getting to know them more, i'm still single. Nothing too much has changed."

"Yes it was." He smiles back. "Well it's yours now so shut up and enjoy the glory for a few days before the work starts." he says nudging her playfully.

"What's a Warble?" He asks genuinely confused at that term, obviously not a lot of talk about the Warbler year from Kurt in the short time they lived together.

"You single? You always had boys after you!" he teases her.

"Oh yeah with the Blazer's right? The ones that you showed me pictures of?" He said wanting to clarify, trying to make sure that he kept up with everyone that was now in the Big Apple.

"Well now you're a big Broadway star, you will be fighting off guys left and right. Just make sure you date someone who is interested in you and not where you can take them." he warns taking a sip of his wine again.

"Hey I know it, I'm not even going to pretend to be offended," she laughed, because how could she be? It was true, her whole life had been about the spotlight.

"Yes, that's them, and there's some single ones, since I hear on the grapevine that's what you're into now," she said, figuring they may as well get the air cleared on this particular subject early on.

"I doubt it, it's not going to change guys being interested in me," she chuckled, "but that's ok!"

"Oh my god!" He says flushing bright red. "I've been back in the city for like 2 days and its already gotten around. This place is worse than Smalltown, USA" He chuckles, rubbing the back of his neck.

"It had nothing to do with you, just so you know, I really did have feeling for you, but then well, I let myself be myself I guess." He laughs.

"I have told you before, you're sexy, you just need more self confidence, and we are going to change that!"

And I still don't really buy that you wanted me, maybe you convinced yourself you did, but you didn't," she pointed out, because if he was gay, then how could he have ever really wanted her?
