“No child should have to grow up in that kind of environment.” Lills’ eyes widened slightly but she gave him a crooked little grin, “Makes sense. She always said she wanted to have a lot of pups, when she had finally found and settled down with someone. We used to say we would raise our pups together so they could be as close as we were growing up.”
