Missandei was still trying to get used to the new life she was leading on the island, it was all very strange to her and she didn't know how to feel. The one emotion that she felt the strongest was one of loss and loneliness. She watched Daenerys with Graham and while she was happy that her queen was happy it still reminded her of all that she was missing with Grey Worm not on the island. That would soon be the least of her concerns though as something far worse than missing the man she loved was about to flood her mind.
The night was calm, a gentle breeze flowing through the open window in Missandei's room and all seemed to be at peace, but that was soon to change. As the normally calm sounds of the island filled the air the quiet was suddenly shattered by a loud scream as Missandei sat upright in her bed as her hands immediately went to her neck to check for wounds. The horror the young woman witnessed in her dream, or rather nightmare, had felt far too real and terrified her.
The death of Rhaegal, Daenerys' dragon flooded her dream followed by the destruction of ships and then her capture. It was far too vivid for Missandei's taste and she wanted out of the nightmare. She wanted to forget everything she had seen, but she couldn't. Couldn't wipe it from her memories as the next moment, like a scene from some graphic film, had she known what that was, she witnessed her own death. While the visual of it was bad enough, that is not where the whole nightmare stopped. Not only did she witness her death, but Missandei also felt it as if the blade were penetrating her neck in that instant and her head was being removed from the rest of her body.
Pain and terror washed over the woman and while screams shattered the usual calm sounds of the evening that was not the only thing to be heard. All she could do was repeat over and over again "Dracarys!" While many would struggle to remember the dreams they experienced each night this was one dream, or rather nightmare, that Missandei would happily forget.
