"For a few years I did...but for most of my life...no. Mom spent most of our money on drugs and booze, didn't exactly leave room for presents..." he paused, a small, almost half smile on his lips. "The League also wasn't big on presents...but the All-Caste did get these."
He closed his eyes, and two swords materialized in his hands, gleaming brightly with their own light. They almost blinked for a moment, before vanishing and he laughed. "I guess you're trustworthy enough that they didn't want to hang around."
They also didn't catch fire, which meant that Henry was on the side of good enough that the magic that powered the blades didn't find anything worth fighting...which made Jason happy as he REALLY didn't want to lose any more blood tonight because his magic mystical occasionally thinking on its own weapons decided they wanted a battle.
Plus he was kind of tired of finding out he was going to be betrayed by his friends because his swords found them evil.
"I guess you could call those presents...if you ignore being eternally bound to them."
