"So Bonnie is blaming herself for his death,on top of being thrown like an rag doll in the water. I'm assuming that this was one of the rare forms of true love?"Martha asked without looking up,her sleek raven hair falling over her face as she bent over the screen. "I am not sure if she will need a transfusion, but I know she will need surgery to relieve the pressure on her brain. There is a lot of swelling,as well as fluid in her lungs. Most likely water. She's not waking up due to her inner battle. She's got a long road ahead of her. I'll be right back. I'm going to prep a room for surgery." Martha had a determined look on her face. She didnt get her doctorate in medicine and medical school for nothing.
Three voices she could hear and the one she focused on was the one she had known her entire life. Since they were babies and their mothers before that. Add in Caroline, you have a trio that could not be broken no matter how many obstacles you threw at them. The pain was so bad,Bonnie couldn't help but whimper. She wanted to pull Elena close and hug her,but she settled for gripping her hand. And the other voice...Diana, she had such a motherly presence and that made Bonnie feel cautious since her own mother abandoned her. She hoped once this was over she could thank her. Calming for the first time in ages, the monitors settled out as well as Bonnie's magic, just in time for Martha to come back and start wheeling her to surgery.
"There is a waiting room where we are going. Inform the nurses station I'm taking care of this and any deink or food you want is on me. I'll let you know when its over." Martha said and went to hug Elena. "Shes lucky to have you for a friend. I just wish I could mend her broken heart. And you Diana, you're amazing for rescuing her. I'll make sure you get rewarded for it." With those words Martha went into surgery, the doors closing behind her.
