"Everyone has flaws," he acknowledged but didn't linger to follow up on it.
"Smarter not harder," Gibbs smiled as he assumed command of the meat. He was proud that Jaqueline had learned to cook, made the house feel more like home. He closed his eyes for a moment and took in the smell of steak. It was a familiar smell. While Gibbs didn't always eat steak, it was a staple in his house. There was always a steak tucked away either in the fridge or freezer for a rainy day...or a Tuesday, whichever.
"He's not trying to garner that bad boy image, is he?" Gibbs raised an eyebrow. "Remind him that it didn't work for his dad."
