Pushing the cupboard he was at closed, he then reached down and picked up a package of flour tortillas. "You pick up stuff to make fajitas, because those sound really good. Especially if you've got the right steak for them," Gibbs paused for a moment as a smirk crept to the corner of his mouth. "Or I guess chicken fajitas would be alright too."
This was Gibbs trying to be lighthearted. Gibbs trying to ease the awkwardness for the both of them in his own sort of way. If Kelly could see him in that moment, maybe she'd be happy. Happy that he was trying to move on with his life. To move into a new chapter with a daughter he never got a chance to know. Until now.
