Gibbs had spent most of his days since coming to the island keeping himself as busy as he could. Most of this particular day, he had spent his time out at the store getting wood for a new project, because Gibbs always had a project going. Kept his hands busy and gave his mind something to focus on.
Gibbs' mind was full of a lot of things lately: dealing with the reality that he had, in fact, nearly died, internalizing and analyzing Kelly's words to him during his time unconscious on the table, and the new reality that he had another daughter now in this world.
When he found the note, he was both annoyed and amused. Notes were a thing for work, not for home. He folded it neatly, grabbed his mug of coffee, and made his way to find Jaqueline. Normally the one to let the sense of his looming presence announce him to his subordinates, he decided against it this time. He wasn't at work. He leaned on the door-frame to the room "What did you have in mind?" He asked with a gentle smile.
