Stefan had been watching Elena as she paced and when she sat down he was going to approach her immediately, but there was something that held him back. He just couldn't get over how beautiful she was and how much he hated that her life was turned upside down by him being in it, but there was something within him that couldn't leave her side.
After a few moments he finally decided to approach the young woman. In a moment where if he had to breathe he would take a deep breath to prepare himself for approaching a woman he loved, but was sure had memories he didn't have, Stefan finally pushed himself forward.
Elena spoke before he could, it was odd how she always knew when he was close to her, but that wasn't important in this moment. Thankful she took the first steps and clung to him Stefan wrapped his arms around her and pulled her tight to his body. Her scent was like a drug to him, one he could never give up.
"I'm sorry it took me so long." he said, not willing to admit he had been there watching her for a while.
