"As am I," Gellert said, giving her a small smile before drawing his menu toward himself and flipping it open, turning immediately to the back section, which listed the vegetarian options. Vegetarianism was only recently finding its way into restaurant menus, but many of the more upscale restaurants seemed to have caught onto the trend, and were reinventing old dishes to be served without meat.
"Do you know what you want yet?" Gellert asked her, moments before the server appeared with his iced water. "Ein Apfelschorle, bitte," he said to the waiter, reverting to German to request the popular apple juice-and-mineral water fizzy drink.
He was fairly sure by now what he wished to order, but he was more than willing to wait for Kastra to make up her mind.
