Kastra had been telling the truth when she told her father that she was looking forward to their dinner. To her, their time together was precious. Given her position, they were not often able to speak candidly with each other, which led Kastra to appreciate even more those times when they were alone and she could be herself. In addition, Kastra had not yet fully overcome the fear that the assassination attempt on her father had given her. Whereas before she thought that a successful assassination attempt would be absolutely impossible for anyone to pull off, she now realized that it wasn't such a far-fetched scenario. The attempt had been close. Dangerously close. Her father's life seemed more fragile than it ever had before, and it frightened her.
She dressed appropriately for the restaurant and put up her hair as she had for her date with Regulus. The date, too, weighed heavily on Kastra's mind. She wasn't sure how she felt about the situation, but the further they pursued their...friendship, the deeper in she seemed to get herself. Too many boundaries were being crossed, which complicated Kastra's situation. She wasn't sure what to tell her father, were it to come up between them. Even if it didn't come up, Kastra wasn't in the business of keeping things from him, let alone lying to him, as she trusted her father fully. But Regulus had been thus far untouched by any politics, and Kastra wanted to keep it that way, if only for a little while longer.
Still, she was in a pleasant mood as she finished dressing and showed up to the restaurant right on time. It was, she noticed upon entering, empty, with the exception of the wait staff. This did not surprise her; she was still being publicly shunned for being a member of the Resistance and they both had images to uphold. The staff led her to the table, which was already set and waiting.
