Sirius swallowed the lump in his throat, refusing to think about what he would have done if that had actually happened. Losing Remus was not an option. Sirius would do anything and everything in his power to assure his safety and then some. It was why he had wanted to go with Remus in the first place. Making a soft, soothing noise, he dropped the bag of potions on the nearest surface before wrapping his other arm around him. "That won't happen." he promised softly, hands stroking up and down his back as he littered his temple and forehead with kisses. "I won't let it." he insisted, ushering him over to the bed. "Rest. Rest. Why don't we leave tomorrow, love?" Sirius suggested in a breathy whispered, keeping close to the other man.
