Hey guys!
Two things! We wanted to make a quick note about characters. We have a couple of different character types… types that have to do with activity. It sounds complicated at first, but we promise it's meant to make it so everyone can be active with the number of characters they have, but the characters will still function in the comm.
Primary characters (P) are characters that have more to do with the overall plot than others, or characters who are involved with more other characters in general. The activity requirement for a primary character is three threads (scenes, a solo, a text) and one journal entry per month.
Secondary characters (S) are still important to the community in general, but they just don’t have immediate ties to the plot or as many central characters as primary characters do (yet!). The activity requirement for a secondary character is two threads (scenes, texts, a solo) and one journal entry per month.
NPCs are held at basically the same standard as they are in any other community. They can be active as the player so chooses, and can be turned into a secondary or primary character at the player’s (or the plot’s) disposal (although we prefer that they at least do a journal entry and/or a thread so we don't forget them). However, we’re limiting players to one NPC per player (unless you're a mod), so that we don’t all end up just sitting on characters or PBs that other people could be playing. And new players have to at least pick up a secondary or primary character.
f you would like your character to be listed in any of the categories we just listed, let us know. All characters are currently listed at primaries until you tell us otherwise. You can change their status at any time (as long as you're not downgrading them right before sweeps).
SECOND THING. (This is long, we're sorry.) Laura had the brilliant idea of asking to include whether each evo is registered or unregistered somewhere on the app and on the cast page. (Remember, every evo is required by law to register his or her power with the government and carry around a little registration card and then they eventually get a mark on their ID/driver's license.) Almost all evos should be registered, unless they are completely unaware of their power (e.g. Dominic) in denial about their power (e.g. Charlie, yes?) or have the money and/or connections to keep the government off their back (e.g. ... Francis? Dietre? Please let us know of this). Therefore, if you could comment and tell us whether your character is registered and or unregistered, that would be peachy. Remember that evos tend to get registered early (as soon as their power starts manifesting) because the penalty for having a power and not registering it can be pretty steep.
Thanks a lot guys!
