During his travels on Sunday, Evan remembered that a new employer had asked him to go check out a site that the owner was thinking about renovating. It was a definite moment of inconvenient amnesia. When he thought about the location of the site, he knew that it wasn't as far away as it could have been. It was a relief to know that he wasn't going to have to drive as much as he sometimes did, and it also meant that his day wasn't going to be as interrupted as the remembrance made him think it would.
With a huff, Evan turned around in the middle of the sidewalk, accidentally bumping into some people. Without a word, he continued on to his truck. The old, beat up truck with it's chipping black paint was waiting for him right where he left it. With a soft, fond touch, Evan unlocked the car and hopped in. Once it was on, Evan turned on the radio, and slowly began pulling out of the spot. The cars around him had parked close (he had parallel parked), so it was a bit difficult to maneuver the large vehicle out of the spot while still having to worry about the drivers passing him.
The ride only took about 15 minutes, and it was very uneventful. As he pulled up, Evan already knew that renovations weren't going to be all that hard, depending on what the owner wanted. The building, on the outside, was in pretty good shape. In his passenger seat was a clipboard that Evan carried around whenever he was on a job. It was a tablet that he wrote notes on. It was lightweight and easy to hold onto, and very easy to write on. After grabbing it, Evan stepped out of the car and walked up to the building. Upon arriving at the building, the first thing Evan did was look at door frames and at the corners. They were strong and even, not likely to give. This building would be good for renovating. Bending over, Evan began to inspect the base, checking for cracks near the ground that could show leaks.
