Okay. A date. Okay. Melody's heart actually beat faster just thinking about that word alone. She never had a date before - in high school she'd been too shy and too much of a wallflower for anyone to really notice her, college had been pretty much the same and the...well then there was the Pulse and she had basically sort through her life again. So there hadn't been any dates either. So she was basically jumping into cold water here. Her mind was reeling with the possible scenarios, from best to worst and everything in between she could possibly think of. And right now a vivid imagination really was no advantage...
She had to laugh softly at the way Topher started rambling now too, but she wasn't laughing at him. "You know, I'm kind of glad I'm not the only one with a mild case of word vomit." There was still a light rosy color on her cheeks, but she was a lot more at ease now, even with all the thoughts tumbling through her head. "I uhm...I think I'd go home and change." Into something that made her look less like a snowman, but still kept her warm, preferably. "So..do you want to come and pick me up on the way there?"
