Topher's soft chuckle turned into a proper, short, laugh when she stuck her tongue out at him. This was why he was glad she stopped by. She never failed to lift his mood or cheer him up.
Now, he watched her, standing there before him with that blush upon her face. He hadn't seen her this flustered around him since they met. Although, that was different, she was uneasy around him back then. This was.. what? Embarrassment? Shyness? Around him, that just seemed odd.
Topher kept his expression soft as she seemed to struggle to get whatever was on her mind past her lips. The shake in her voice making his brow knit in a slight frown before he realised it was from nerves. His eyebrows rose a bit and he couldn't help the small smile that graced his face as he caught the muttered response. She'd like that. Going to the party tonight as a date. "I'd like that too.." The words actually left his lips before he even realised they had.
