"It's really okay," she assured him, finding his apologies adorable. "I was singing too. So we're even." Winking a bit, she popped the earbuds out of her ear, setting the iPod on the towel beside her so she could sit up fully and talk better. Siobhan didn't know who this boy was, though she felt like she should. Why did he look so familiar?
When he smiled and offered the introduction, everything clicked. She had heard his name, of course, and had ironically just been singing one of his band's songs. "Oh my. A rockstar nearly stepping on me? Must mean I'm famous by association today," she said playfully, smiling as she extended her hand to shake if he wanted. "Nice to meet you, Kaleb. I'm Siobhan." Her Irish lilt was a bit thick on account of her momentary surprise, but Sib didn't care. "Why yes it is. Though I think it'd be even better if I had some company," she mused, her not-so-subtle gaze directed at Kaleb as she waited for his answer.
