Ajay wasn't wrong, teasing was usually the surefire way to break Chaos out of whatever state she was in. It usually brought her back to familiar ground, a place where she could just be her and normal. That didn't seem to be the case though when it came to actual fear and facing her own emotions. it wasn't something she had experienced before But Ajay seemed pretty quick to figure out exactly what she needed. His fingers on her skin was doing wonders to keep from going to the place of self sabotage.
Honestly she wasn't sure how she felt about his explanation for him waking up. Part of her found it kinda scary that he could be so in tuned to her and her reaction to the cycles. But there was another part of her, the part that wasn't terrified of her own feelings, felt a warmth at the thought. it wasn't the dominate side of her though. that was the fear and the fear kept her from looking up at him. She almost fought hi as he moved to tilt her face up to him
It would be a lie to say that Chaos really had control over what her face said at any moment. her face was kinda notorious for showing everything she was thinking. But if there was ever a time that she wanted that to not be the case it would be now. Of course that meant that her fear and anxiety was even more obvious than it would normally be. Though the soft look in his eyes mixed with his soft smile and tone did wonders to break through it. It meant she was willing to actually hold his eyes. Ajay gently scolded her for not wanting him to hear that and she had million excuses run through her head but she didn't get to use them. he continued to speaking and she froze with his next words.
It was a different type of freezing though. Not a paralyzing fear but more a completely surprised mixed with a warm feeling she wasn't sure how to identify. It was hope. Hope that they had something real, something she had ever experienced before. He felt the same? it wasn't one sided and she had gone completely off course of the relationship they were supposed to have? not that she had ever planned on having a real relationship.
"You are?" she asked, not really sure why exactly she was questioning it. "I can't run," she added almost reassuringly though she had already said it when she thought he wasn't listening. "I can barely go a day without at least talking to you. I can fathom the idea of just not seeing you at all."
