Who: Hawke and Clary
When: Around mid afternoon, Tuesday
Where: One of the Training Rooms
What: A discovery
Hawke Valentine was someone that had really caught Clary's attention. She had heard of him even before he had come to school and had heard people talk about the runes he had. She had always assumed they were just tattoos he had found out of some old book. It wasn't until she actually saw him that she saw they truly were Wrath runes. It was harder to tell if they were true marks or just tattoos of marks, however. She had been trying to figure it out for weeks as she watched him whenever he was near. She doubted he noticed. She was very good at observing things without drawing attention to herself. Today she had figured out that the marks on his skin were truly Wrath Marks. A new mark that had been their yesterday was now a faint white outline. Tattoos didn't do that, but runes did. The biggest question however, was how did a kid that had not been raised by the Nephilim of Wrath find out about the runes and how to use them? And why on earth was there a Wrath Nephilim that wasn't part of the community when they were so rare as it was?
Clearly it was time to talk to him. Clary had only spoken a couple words to Hawke in the time that he had been at the school. She tried to stick to her social scheduled, that she had established as a type of cover. she could be much more effective if people didn't believe she could fight or defend herself. She followed him to one of the training rooms, this was not a conversation she should have with anyone else around.
"How do you know about those marks?" she asked as she stepped in to the room behind him. She wasn't going to both with a greeting. If he had sensed her following him he would be on his guard now and no amount of politeness was going to change that. If he wasn't already on his guard than her abrupt nature would clearly indicated that she was serious about getting an answer to that question.
