WILL DANNY HEAR THE OTHERS THAT VANISHED BEFORE STRANGE WAS ABLE TO COME BACK AND WARN DERLETH? WILL STRANGE RECOVER FROM HIS TRIP OUTSIDE THE GHOST LINE IN TIME TO FIND HELP?
IT'S BEEN TWO DAYS OUTSIDE THE GHOST LINE. HOW MUCH LONGER WILL THE OTHERS HOLD OUT? WILL DERLETH COME TOGETHER OR CONTINUE TO FALL APART?

	The moment Eliot, Hugh, Margo and Vax cross over is the moment they become a smudge. A sort of psychic impression of their former selves. Like a dream in which you desperately try to run, they are barely able to move, if at all. There wasn't any kind of sound that happened when the line was crossed, but Margo felt a very distinct sort of wind, like the sound of a breath through the side of your mouth when you were trying to make a fart noise. It never quite sounded like a fart, but it was enough to get people laughing. Or eyerolling in her case.

She kept the tension of her life in her shoulders and carried it with her everywhere she went, so when that tension, the stress seemed to disappear in the wake of the noise, Margo grew angry. It was her first reaction to most things, and it was the emotion that always lingered in her the most. Usually, it was aimed at something or someone external to her, so it wasn't surprising when she immediately opened her mouth to say, what the fuck.

What was surprising was that no sound came out.

Then she realized that her entire presence was nothing but anger. That's all there was to Margo Hanson on the other side of the Ghost Line, and that anger was the only thing keeping her together. A psychic smudge of anger.

By himself, Eliot might have felt relief. He fucked up, somehow. Like nearly a hundred or so other timelines he'd experienced before ever coming to Derleth, he'd made one wrong move and it'd cost him. Oops. Oh well. What was next?

Except Margo and Hugh had been with him. He could almost sense them. Not that he could call out to either. Did they know he was close.

Margo. He thought. He did his best to move closer. Hugh?

And like the nearly hundred or so timelines he'd experienced, he knew as part of a group deal Eliot was rarely the only one affected or who paid the price for a bad idea, a wrong turn, or just shit luck. He couldn't stop himself from trying to hold onto them. To look for them. To exist.

If they managed to get out of this, Eliot decided he owed Vax an apology.

Maybe don't go out on a run with the magician that had died in a hundred or so other timelines. Because the timeline where Eliot lived? More and more seemed like the exception rather than the rule.

Fuck.

Something touched her. Something touched the remnants of her, and the anger she felt at the point of contact was no longer there. Margo tried not to panic. If it was gone, was she going to disappear completely? Everything was so hazy. A sauna of steam in this not-place. Where had they gotten to? She couldn't even remember where they were going now.

Margo, she could have sworn she heard. Hugh?

Eliot?? Is that you?

He meant to say, "Stay with me, Bambi."

But all that came out was: Bambi.

At least they were together. At least he had Hugh with them, too. Not the largest comfort for Hugh, Eliot imagined. Hugh had people left behind that he cared about. Eliot, too, sure. But he imagined they would be okay without them.

They could all hold on a little longer. Just for a little while longer. Eliot wasn't quite ready to let go. It was the wrong world, he told himself. He was supposed to meet back up with Penny-40, and maybe if he was very, very lucky, maybe there were other familiar faces he would see again as well.

And really? Did he want to meet up with some shitty knock off Penny? Of course not.

So he did his best, to imagine himself reaching out. Hold on to Margo. Reach for Hugh. Reach for Vax. He could try to keep them all together a little while longer.

Vax wasn't a stranger to the spaces between life and death. Simply by virtue of the life he led, it wasn't unusual for he or his friends to be up and down multiple times in a fight - winning one second, on the brink the next, brought back by a potion or a healing spell only for the fight to continue like nothing strange had happened. And since his deal for his sister's life, his own dreams had been increasingly comprised of that space.

Not awake. Not asleep. Somewhere in the space between both of those, between living and dying, where the gods took up space. Or at least one god in particular did.

Crossing the line was like that. Like being outside his body somehow, held in place even though he didn't know if he still had form. So for a second, he thought maybe he'd fallen asleep on the trip. Embarrassing, really, to think that one second he'd been staring out the window while marveling at how fast they were going and how quickly the scenery was whipping by, and in the next he'd nodded off.

Gods, he hoped he wasn't drooling.

He sank into the feeling with more acceptance than he might have months ago, but when the featureless white mask of the Raven Queen failed to appear a knot of concern finally started to form in his stomach. Or what would have been his stomach if he had one at the moment.

Something's wrong. He tried to say it out loud, but with no proper form it was more a thought than anything else. And he wasn't sure if any of the others could hear, or even where they were. He tried to move closer to them - to anything - but he couldn't even be sure he was moving, much less whether he was moving in the direction of his companions.

Are... Doing anything felt almost insurmountable, but Vax was determined to push back against whatever it was holding them all. ...all right?

Stephen was pulled on day Four and fell unconscious until later in the day.

He's shaken and disturbed by what happened to him... but this is a man who is accustomed to focusing on What To Do Next, and not be shaken into incapability.

He posted for everybody to read, but his next step is to find Danny, since he seems to be the one with all the answers.

He's a teenage boy who said he needed to finish a paper, so it's understood he's in school... so he's going to check on the local high schools. Danny rode a bicycle, so he'll first look at the bike racks to see if he recognizes it out of those there.

Yeah, it's creepy as shit for an adult to be hanging around and looking for a kid, so he hopes to engage one of the Derleth youth to help. If anybody volunteers, that would be awesome, but if not he'll ask ... Stranger Things Crowd?
