	Yeah ok but the sorceror thing's more your main gig was more what I meant. But ok. Right. So it's not like a huge thing. Back home I have a hearing aid and I don't have that here. 	Okay, I'll give that to you. I think I have just the spell for that. Amplifies one's normal hearing, but in your case it would probably be enough to restore you to normal levels. It won't be permanent, however. I'll need to redo it at the beginning of every reset. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

I mean like I did without until I was in my 20s. And don't use them all the time. I can read lips from like 60 meters away.

So it's not like a huge deal. But it'd help with perching.

If I thought of it earlier in the last place I maybe could have gotten it there. But I wasn't sure they'd have less than a 7 day turnaround. Or like three cause I thought about it half through the week.

So like. There was a day where everyone said the exact same thing to me, seriously all day.

And then I get back to the shop right? And there's a dead body in the freezer. Then this health inspector came and was all the same small talk. And the cop I tried to talk to was the same. So like ok. Guess I'm stuck with sorting this out, right?

So I go back and they're all small talk until then it's all. Let's go dump this guy. So we're there doing it after dark right? And I slide my phone in to track and this cop comes up. So shit right?

Except they're all small talk and want to help.

And then two days later, I went back to get the body. And it wasn't there. But the tracker I had dropped in the barrel was.

So I don't even know.

Now that is weird.

I was scheduled to perform surgeries but they were all like... simple procedures, like removing an external lump. So I got all ready for the first surgery, and you could tell that the 'patient' was an artificial mannequin, but the other doctors and nurses around me were treating it dead serious, as if it was a life or death situation. So I humored them, and when I finished, the applauded and congratulated me.

Oh yeah, happens all the time.

PLUS, none of the patients in the hospital were really sick. Orlin used his tricorder and scanned people to find they were perfectly alright, scanned machines to find they were intentionally giving wrong readouts to say they were ill, and medicine to uncover that they were all placebos. When I finally confronted a group of them about it, they all started crying... in unison... weeping actual tears. It was horror movie levels of creepy.

My guess is that the body was a necessary part of the illusion that the city was setting up for you, and once it wasn't needed any more, the city took it back.

	As for in general. Like maybe some of the multiverse space stuff. Like Cancerverse or the Lavender dimension or the place where everyone's monkeys except Sue Storm and Cap was a monkey vampire. 	I. for one, am glad Derleth hasn't visited a place where everybody's a monkey. Was it a Planet of the Apes kind of thing with anthropomorphic talking monkeys... or....? Monkey vampire. Poor Cap. 	I haven't visited the monkey place but Reed has this thing that can see other timelines. It looked pretty violent but also talking. Rocky road weirdly. Does that make sense based on medicine somehow? (Reply to this) (Parent)
