Even though Vanya didn't trust herself around huge crowds, she had ventured off campus a few times to enjoy some Disney fun. She'd explored the World Showcase at Epcot and done a tour at Animal Kingdom, along with hitting up the Disney Springs area for some shopping. Though she'd opted to skip the pool party that Julia and her friend were throwing, she did go to Tony and Darcy's wedding reception despite not really knowing either of them well. While it was completely over-the-top, it wasn't as wild as she imagined the pool party was.
Today, she agreed to go to one of the pools with Allison for some sisterly bonding. It was something that still felt new and strange to Vanya given the way they'd been raised and how their father had tried his best to destroy Vanya's bonds with all of her siblings, not to mention the whole thing where they'd used their powers on each other. Things were different here and they had an opportunity to have the kind of relationship they may have had if their father hadn't been around. Sometimes she wondered what life would have been like if they'd been raised solely by Mom and Pogo. Of course, without Reggie to bring them together, they wouldn't have known each other at all most likely.
There were also times that Vanya wondered about her birth parents. Who they were and why they'd agreed to sell her to Reginald Hargreeves. Did they ever think about her? Wonder what became of her? Had they read her book? Did they realize she was their daughter?
At the moment, she wasn't thinking about any of those things though, instead, focusing on floating on a giant innertube on the lazy river with her sister. It was such a normal moment and she really wanted to enjoy it. "Did you have fun at the wedding last night?" she asked. "I don't really know either of them well."
