Danny blinked at the guy. He fell asleep on the beach? Well, hey, there were certainly worse places to sleep. "They need to teach us how to make those Survivor tent things. Problem solved, right?"
He glanced at Max and smirked at her. "Besides scaring people?" He turned, making sure both of them could see what he was doing, and pointed out towards the ocean. "Look out there. What do you see? Sky, ocean, sun and clouds, right?" He dropped his hands into his pockets. "There's also a wall out there. It's invisible, but it's there. Every time I try to teleport out of here, I feel myself bouncing off something out there, and that wall is it. So, in an effort to further progress in getting off of this island, it's been decided that we should figure out how far out that the wall goes." He shrugged a little. "Which is exactly what I was doing. Set distance teleports, with my arms out in front of me, and as soon as I feel the wall against my fingers I know how far it is."
It had been risky, sure. If he'd overshot, his arms could have been fused with whatever that wall was made of. But you never got any results if you didn't take a few risks.
