Who: Angelina and Viktor Krum
Where: Their new house, Hogsmeade
When: Friday evening, after their wedding
What: Coping with marriage
Rating/Status: TBD/Incomplete
This wedding had been nothing like her first. She and her husband arrived at their new home without any real celebration. Angelina wouldn't have wanted any. She and Viktor were marrying out of necessity alone. They were becoming friends, but they were certainly not lovers. She didn't expect they ever would be. She could only hope that they would get along and respect one another.
Knowing that the marriage was one of convenience didn't ease her heartache. It had been wrenching to say vows to a man other than George. All she could think of was her first wedding, her real wedding, when she had held George's hands as he joked his way through the ceremony and reception just like he had through his life. She still missed him as keenly as the day he had died. This marriage felt like a betrayal to his memory and to the memory of her children.
Throughout the ceremony, she had tried to maintain her composure. She had shed tears despite her determination to reign in her emotion. It was all too much to bear. Now, standing in the living room of the home she and Viktor would share, she fought back tears once more. This would never be home to her. No place could truly be home without George, Freddie and Roxanne. Her life just didn't work without them.
"I'm sorry," she said wiping her eyes and looking up at Viktor for a moment, one hand fidgeting with her dress. "This was harder than I thought it would be."
