So many questions, no peace of mind Worry is free, lord, and I stay worried all the time But this ain't living - no, it's barely getting by
After Cormac had written her, Angelina knew the changes she had seen in Alicia weren't just the product of an overly worried imagination. There was something wrong with her best friend, and Ange needed to find out what it was, to see if she could find a way to make it even a little bit better, before Lici started hurting any worse. Since the murders, Angie had scarcely slept at all, but she wasn't exhausted. She was focused. Finding out that the few people she loved who were left in the world might be in danger had forced her sadness down, replacing it with determination. Nothing was going to happen to her makeshift family. She would make sure of it.
Alicia was definitely part of that family, and seeing her like this was painful. Maybe it was just the wedding, Angelina tried to tell herself. After all, even though Cormac was Lici's friend, it couldn't be easy to marry someone you didn't really love. But that didn't seem like it fit the bill. The only way to discover the truth was to talk to her. Sipping probably her tenth cup of coffee since noon, Angelina took a seat next to Alicia on the comfy couch in the Gryffindor common room. "You all right, Alicia?" she asked, keeping her tone as light as she could.
