[I'm apparently developing insomnia, so I thought I'd go ahead and put this up haha]
Thanks to Melinda Bobbin, Angelina had recovered from the hangover from hell in record time. Instead of spending her afternoon beside the toilet, she was able to focus fully on her impending nuptials, instead. In the sober, not hungover light of day, she couldn't believe she had sent a proposal via owl to someone she barely even knew. She also couldn't believe hat Viktor had accepted. It certainly was a strange world.
Angie had gotten to the pitch over an hour before she and Krum were supposed to meet, desperate to clear her mind. All of this still felt wrong. She did believe that she and Viktor would probably get along – they had Quidditch in common, after all, and the sport was so much a part of both of their lives that surely it created some common ground. Still, reminders of George were everywhere. Between Gryffindor Tower and the pitch, she had passed the swamp he and Fred had left behind as their final prank at Hogwarts, the shadowy hallway where the twins would hide and throw magical firecrackers at first years walking by, and the wall that had come crashing down, taking Fred's life during the final battle. She couldn't forget him, not after all they'd been through together. She didn't want to. They had built a life together, had a family. That was the sort of thing that was supposed to last forever.
But fate had other plans, and Angelina was going to try her hardest to make the best of her current situation. She had no plans to fall madly in love with her fiancé, but if they could manage to be friends it would make this whole mess a lot easier. A few minutes before Viktor was supposed to arrive, Angelina flew back to the ground and sat down on the grass, broomstick in her lap. She took a deep breath of the chilly air and leaned back, waiting for her future husband to arrive.
