It seemed lately as if the old adage of, "It doesn't rain, but it pours," had never been truer. They had seen weeks of peace and quiet before chaos erupted. Then it went back to normal before it felt as though the world had begun to spin backward again. Right now was not the time of peace Ororo wanted almost desperately. She felt as though she hadn't had a proper night of sleep since the beginning of January and it didn't appear as though anything would be changing any time soon.

It was time to get things back in order, and to do that, she needed all hands on deck. For this reason and this reason alone, Ororo swallowed her pride and picked up her phone. She scrolled through her contacts before finding Logan's number and dialing to listen to it ring.

He was more than a little surprised to hear 'Ro of all people. Logan raised a brow and listened for a minute. "'Bout time you pulled your head out of your ass and got him outta there. Honestly don't know what in the hell you were thinkin' lettin' him in there in the first damn place." Logan never was much of one for holding back.. anything.

"A meetin' hmm? Sure, I guess I could make it. Just tell me when." Now she had his full attention. "Don't worry about Marie, I'll tell her. Can't promise she'll show. But she will be informed." And he really didn't give a damn what it sounded like that he'd contact her. let them all think what they wanted. "I reckon she's not answering because she feels a little damned betrayed that you opened the place up ta that psychotic bastard that nearly killed her. But that's just my opinion.

"I think we both decided to agree to disagree on that one, didn't we?" There was an edge of annoyance to her voice, but it may simply have been because she hated to admit her decision had been wrong. All the strife and arguments only for Magneto to up and leave after all.

"I'm planning on trying to gather everyone on the sixth." She needed to see if Emma could find the missing before then or not, and to have a personal debriefing with X-23 before bringing anyone else into it. "Logan, I really need you to be in on this one. And not just halfway."

She blinked when he said he'd bring it up to Rogue and spoke with a thread of surprise. "I'm glad she's at least staying in touch with you. You always did have a way with her that none of the rest of us did." Sometimes it was hard to remember Rogue was an adult now. She knew how to take care of herself.

"We didn't decide anything which was why I left." He'd had no say in anything, hell his opinion hadn't even been asked. "But that after all is splitting hairs." So Logan was a little bitter about the whole situation. At least Magneto left without causing a shitload of trouble.

That pissed him off, and he barely contained a growl. "When have I ever been just halfway in anything?" He went beyond what was called for as far as he was concerned. "I'll let you know my decision as soon as I know what the hell is going on." Because honestly, he was questioning her leadership abilities after this whole fiasco. Maybe she wasn't qualified to make major decisions as he had once thought she was.

"Helps to not be afraid of her." Everyone was on some level or another. With what she could do, if she ever lost control no one would be able to stop her. And he was sure Marie knew they were afraid of her, that deadly skin. He wasn't and he'd all too gladly die for her if he had to. Hell, he nearly had twice already and he was sure there'd be more to come.

Ororo just pursed her lips and stared out the window, quite accustomed to Logan's tendency to get irritated so easy and growl out his answers. After seven years she was also used to people remembering how things had been when Charles was there and comparing her ways to his. She always fell short. That was something she'd had to accept as the general opinion a long time ago.

"I mean I need you to be with us and not go off on a vigilante mission as you sometimes tend to do." She sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "I already have one person deciding how she's going to handle all of this and I can't..." She stopped, choosing her words carefully, quietly finishing, "I just need you to be here." It had been a good long while since Ororo had any time to step back and just think for herself and she was feeling the effects of it. People thought she wasn't doing a damned thing about anything lately when that couldn't have been farther from the truth. Her frustration building and coming out at Logan wasn't fair.

"I'm sorry," she said at length. "None of that came out the way I meant for it to." It was a small sign of how alone she felt lately, her apologizing. Ororo didn't apologize to anyone easily anymore. "I'm not afraid of her, I just wish she'd let me help her. She's always had such thick walls around everyone. If you can get her here I would appreciate it. I think you could talk her into doing just about anything at one point in time."

"Ta be perfectly honest, there ain't no kind of us at that school right now. The unity that used to be there, it's gone, because there's no trust." He didn't want to go, hell he wanted to forget the place existed. But, he couldn't and that was all because Xavier, he wanted to do the right thing by him. Logan owed that much to him. "I'll be at the meeting, that's the only promise that I am willing ta make."

His brow raised. "Laura?" He figured it had to be her, if it was anyone else he'd be extremely surprised. She was the female clone of his. Which could potentially be worse, what with the hormones and all that female crap she had to go through. Made him wince a little to think about it

"She's not gonna, not after Magneto came back. She feels betrayed and have ta be honest, I don't blame her a bit." He wasn't trying to take a stab, just speaking the truth, if it hurt well then you know the old saying. That made him chuckle inwardly, at one point in time. "I'll talk to her, but if she don't wanna I ain't gonna sway her."

"I'll tell you what I told Rogue when she said the same thing to me. You don't always have to agree with my decisions, Logan. But you do have to accept they are my decisions. I've been running this place by myself for the past seven years and now suddenly everyone shows up and wants to tell me how to do a better job. Can you understand how that can get under my skin? Just a little bit?" Sometimes she appreciate the fact that certain people never held back from her and spoke what was on their minds plain and simple. This was not one of those times. "Thank you," she said when he agreed to come. "You don't have to stay, but I would appreciate you being here."

The fact that he knew X-23's name came as a bit of a surprise. "That's what I was told her name is. All she usually gives people is her codename. X-23. She left before I could ever really find out who she was. And now she's coming back with information about who was behind the attack and what that means for all of us."

She didn't want to go there with him about Rogue. He'd always been a little overprotective of her and she was already in the middle of a battle she'd never win with him. Instead, she pushed the subject onto the meeting itself. "You'll know just about everyone here." She almost told him about Scott but stopped herself. It wasn't something she could do over the phone. He had to see for himself, and he would if he came.

"And yet you had no problem letting Magneto take over. I'm not gonna sit here and argue over the phone with you, though I imagine you'd love ta send a lightning bolt up the crack of my ass right now. I'll be there, just remember once this thing gets started, you did invite me to it, so don't expect me ta sit there with my mouth shut like a good boy." His tongue flicked over his lips. "Good, most likely I'm not gonna stay."

He nodded. "Yeah I met her. She's... interesting." Oh he was going to do some digging on the girl himself. A female version of himself running around was enough to even give him a case of the nerves.

"The ones I don't know I'll be sure ta scare the shit out of." Logan did love intimidating others, seemed a flash of the claw at the right moment did the trick nearly every time.

	"Magneto took nothing over." It really wasn't something she wanted to argue about either, so Ororo bit her tongue. "Far be it from me to expect you to keep your mouth shut." She shook her head, a tiny undertone of amusement to her voice. "See you soon, Logan. Bye." (Reply to this) (Parent)
