Kitty stuck her tongue out at Paige as the blond sat, then looked at Threnody with apology. "I'm sorry if that wasn't clear." She really was going to have to make an effort to be a little more present, in class especially. It was one thing for her to just go through the motions when it was her alone; computer knowledge came as easy as breathing to Kitty. But when teaching the children and other how to do certain things, it was important to remember that they were not all on speed in that area, like she was.
Most would have moved back from Threnody without thinking, but Kitty made herself sit still. Everyone had personal space issues except for, it seemed, Threnody. In fact, she wondered if the younger woman even knew what personal space meant. "That's not the first time you mentioned being dead." In teenagers, that statement could mean so many different things. Though Threnody was a little odd, she certainly wasn't emo.
Kitty glanced at her phone to check the time, then at Paige before shaking her head. "Nope. Paige and I were going to go shopping and we'd planned on taking the rest of the day. So if you want to talk, it's not a problem." As much as she'd wanted, possibly even needed, and afternoon off, Kitty had a job to do first. If Threnody wanted to talk, she needed to be there. "What do you mean about being dead, Threnody?"
