"What do you mean they're not in?" There was desperation in his tone. Another backfire and Jamie pulled the phone away from his face long enough to yell a stream of profanities and a demand for the noise to stop. The television was turned up by one of the dupes trying to hear the news and Jamie tried to pull himself further from the group and closer to the wall and the bed. "Isn't that a place for kids?" he asked, phone back up to his ear once more. "I don't understand how no one...you know what? it doesn't matter."
He paused to breathe, try and calm himself down. "My name is Jamie Madrox. I used to be a bad guy which really all boils down to perspective in my case. I wasn't bad, per se, I was just..." Anyway, my point is that I was in jail and I was given the cure, and now the cure seems to have, I don't know, worn off. Can it do that?
