When: Jan. 5, 5pm
Where: N/A
Status: TBD
It was lucky for him he had enough money stashed in his backpack for a room for the night. he needed to get off the streets, needed to figure out what the hell he was supposed to do with himself now. Nearly everything was making him pop out a dupe and it was really starting to get to him. He was tired, exhausted really. And every dupe he couldn't reabsorb quick enough before they ran away was linked to him both emotionally and telepathically. To say he had a headache would have been a gross understatement at this point.
Jamie paced the room with the door bolted shut and all the curtains drawn. He couldn't sneeze, couldn't get the hiccups. If anyone randomly knocked on his door and scared him, he wouldn't be able to stop another duplicate from joining him. There weren't a lot of options before him. It was either deal with it and learn to control himself by himself again, or reach out for help. Calling that school was really not something he wanted to do.
He had the number written down on a scar of paper; this was not his first time thinking about calling Xavier's. As it was, Jamie picked up the phone and put it back down several times, indecisive. He ran his hands through his short dark hair and snarled at nothing. He was a one man band. Literally. Anything he ever needed he could get for himself. Knowing that was not going to happen this time made him angry.
Outside his crappy motel room a car backfired and Jamie seemed to split into two people. He stared at his duplicate, and his duplicate stared back at him. "Why are you glaring at me?" the dupe asked. "Like it's my fault?" The car backfired again and the room suddenly got smaller.
By the time Jamie reached for the phone and dialed Xavier's, there were twelve other people in the room with him, all wearing the same face and the same clothes, and all equally unamused.
