Big Man, Walking in the Park...
Who: Cypher OT: Magneto, Scorpion
Where: Central Park, New York, NY
When: Early to Mid-Afternoon
What: Cypher seeks help

He hadn't been able to get much information about the man once known as Magneto, save that he'd been forcibly cured and spent much of his time since then in Central Park playing chess. But all that happened years ago. Doug had no idea if the man was still there, if he had died in the two years he'd -

But best not to think of that now. Doug could deal with his first choice being dead if it came to that when it came to that. For now, he just had to hope that Magneto - Erik Magnus Lehnsherr as the various news reports had outed following the Alcatraz incident - was still alive and still playing chess in the park... and also no longer effected by the cure. It was wearing off all over - everyone was keyed up about it. But the man known as Magento was also really old, what if it didn't wear off of him due to age?

Doug took a deep breath and pulled his hood further down over his head. Those were all things that could wait to be found out. He could goad the man into acting out to see if his powers were back - assuming he was there and still into playing chess and not dead.

Another deep breath and Doug pushed off with a foot to start his skateboard down the cement path that would bring him closest to the chess tables. The cold was biting, but at least he had clothes that could deal with it however mixed the results. Brown, dried grass and leafless trees all covered with snow that was melted in only patches here and there flanked the sidewalk which was surprisingly well occupied for all that it was the middle of winter. New York never sleeped and never stopped coming to the only bright bit of greenery left in the city.

He rolled his way down the path, taking it slower as he came to the concrete tables and the groups of men sitting there, playing their games. Only a few of the tables were occupied - and only one had a single man at it. Doug wasn't honestly sure which man it was... he'd seen the picture of the guy, but that, again was about seven years old. Would he have changed much since then.

The young man rolled slowly past the tables, eying the faces in a noticeable manner, obviously looking for someone. To those who were familiar with fear, they'd see it in the shadows of his hood and the hunch of his shoulders.

"You are a God among insects, young man." he said with a small smile. "Never let anyone tell you otherwise." he said, finally unwrapping his sandwich and offering half to the young man.

"Now then, I believe you have something you wished to tell me..." he said, then took a bite of his half of the sandwich.
