Okay, guys, we have set up some new rules. The update list will be posted every Friday, and will cover the past two weeks. Here's what we consider updating: character interaction in the main community, whether you started the post or are just threading with another character. What we DO NOT consider updating: posts to the character's personal journal, posts to [info]tns_email. This isn't social networking for your characters. This is The Next Step, and we want to keep the plot moving along. Sorry guys, but them's the rules.

Some new rules/expansions upon existing rules:


  • We expect you to update for your characters in the main community ([info]the_next_step) at least ONCE every two weeks. You will receive two warnings. If, by the end of the week of the second warning you have not updated, the character in question will be removed from the game. Three strikes, you're out. Do not pass Go, do not collect $200.

    If you have more than one character on the current update list, any applications submitted for new characters will be put on hold until you prove that you are capable of handling the characters you currently have.

  • We do understand that life happens and you will need to go on hiatus from time to time. However, if we find that you abuse this privilege, we will ask that you reconsider your involvement in the game.
