1. NO GODMODING. This means no controlling another person's character or making your character all-powerful and all-knowing. Start heading this way, and you will be warned, but the second time you will not be given a second chance and will be removed from the community.
2. There is currently a limit of five characters per person. If you prove that you are capable of handling more than five, however, we may allow you to take on more. If it becomes obvious that your character load is too much we may ask you to drop some.
3. Original characters are allowed, but know that OC bio applications will be picked apart more thoroughly than canon bio applications.
4. OOC posts go into the OOC community (nextstep_ooc). RP posts go into the main community. Personal posts (posts made in first person) go into your character's personal journal.
5. Private entries should be marked as such. You can do this by putting it behind a cut, or by putting [private] in the subject.
6. The update minimum is under discussion and flexible.
7. Proper spelling and grammar is a must -- no netspeak. Mistakes are understandable, but constant errors are annoying and hard to follow.
8. Accents are to be typed out in dialogue only.
9. All storylines must be cleared by the mods. We're very open about what happens, we just want to make sure that it doesn't interfere with anything else. Also, if you're not sure, ASK.
10. Please don't post one-liners.
11. Slash is fine. Sex is fine. Profanity is fine. If there's sex, put it behind a cut with a clear label. If there's violence, put it behind a cut with a clear label. All threads rated NC-17 will need to be made friends-only.
12. You don't need AIM, but it is preferred. It's free, anyway.
13. Character/player separation, dammit. Your character may have a feud with another but does that really need to bleed OOC?
14. If you feel you must fight with another player, please, take it out of the group and into the world of IM/e-mail. We don't want to hear it in game. If someone is bothering you, then please, tell the mod. That's what we're here for.
15. People have lives outside of their RPGs. Remember this. It's fake.
16. Strikeouts -- can't be read. It's more like a conversation that could happen, maybe something someone wishes they could say to someone else, but they're held back. Muns can read them, pups can't.
17. NO WANK. We have angry feral mutants at our disposal and aren't afraid to let them off the leash.
