We now have a Plot suggestion box. The post will remain up for the duration of this game and it's a place where you can post all your plot ideas as far as game-wide or semi game-wide plot ideas. We hope this will help you guys feel more like you're taking part in making this game great! All comments are screened and will remain that way. Go ahead and give us some ideas! You never know, maybe your idea will be the next big game-wide plot!

Hey all! Mods here with some great news! In the spirit of the holiday we have gotten a permanently insane account for the community! Next Door Mods is officially a permanent fixture on Insanejournal! We look forward to utilizing all the new features we have and we hope this will make your gaming experience a great one! Merry Christmas to you guys!

So, in effort to make the game a bit more interesting and challenging for everyone, us mods have decided to incorporate a new little fun activity once a month. The scene lotto will be pretty much exactly as it sounds, but we're throwing in a few little fun factors. Basically all you have to do is post a reply to this entry with all your characters that you'd like to include in the lotto. Please note that you do not have to include all of your characters. You're welcome to have one or all or even none of your characters participate if you so choose.

Once the scene lotto sign up has closed, which will happen in a few days, one of us mods will toss the names into a hat and pair up characters randomly. Those characters will then get to scene together thus making new connections that might not normally have been tossed at one another. On top of the random factor, we'll give you a random prompt to go along with the scene. The prompt will be the same for all the characters entered in the scene lotto to see just how different each pairing can take the prompt. For example, if the prompt is 'whipped cream', the scenes could range in a varied array from sexual encounters to random meetings at a coffee shop over a cup of cocoa with whipped cream.

That being said, we want you guys to have fun with this so please post all the characters you'd like to have included in the scene lotto. Sign ups will end on the 15th or when we have a decent amount of characters to mix and match.

The nominations for August/September awards have been noted and due to the fact that only one player nominated, we will be giving out awards to all those nominated (which should be out in the next day or so). However, we have decided collectively to postpone further awards until we have more players so that there will be more nominations etc and voting can actually take place :)

Please feel free to submit any opinions, concerns, questions or comments here or to the mod email and we'll be happy to look at them.

Hey there everyone! Just wanted to pop in with a few little notes. The first is that we've set up a locations page located here. If there are any other locations that you'd like to have added, just drop us a note about it on the locations page and we'll add them up. Please include a link to the picture you'd like used that gives a visual of the subject of the particular add in. Also, if we've missed any people who work and/or go to school at any of the current places, feel free to poke us about that as well on the locations page.

The next note is to remind everyone that the August/September Nominations post, located here still could use more nominations so we can get to posting up the voting post. So please, in the next week, stop by that post and put in your nominations. We'll give you until Sunday night to do so before we post the voting list Monday. The more you nominate, the more choices you'll have to vote for!

Since all of the comments we got about awards were positive, we've decided to go ahead and put in awards for this game to give back to you players for being, well, awesome! The way that we'll do nominations and voting is as follows:

Each month a post like this will go up in the OOC community letting you know it's time to nominate scenes and characters. The nominations will be visible to everyone so that you can see that other players think you're pretty awesome. Voting will take place at the end of every month and awards will come out sometime at the beginning of the next month. Voting posts will be screened. This is a means to show our appreciation - and for each of you to show your appreciation - for each and every player in this game.

The nomination categories are located here. Please feel free to nominate as many times as you'd like for as many different categories as you like.

This months awards will span for any scene that was posted from the start of the game up until the 30th of September.

Hello wonderful players! Mods here with a question. But first, we want to say thank you guys SO much for making The Supernatural Next Door such a rousing success! We have great players, great muses, and we're just so happy you're all enjoying this as much as we are!

Now, onto the question! Do you lovelies want to start doing monthly awards? Just something for fun, nothing to get competitive over, but we thought it would be a nice way for some player and character appreciation! So, let us know!

We have decided that the time update for the new game week will be on Monday, September 12th. Everyone seems to be getting close to the end of the game week. This first week was a little longer than the usual three weeks, in order to give everyone time to adjust to the new game. There will be a twenty-four hour warning on Sunday to remind you all once more that the update will take place.
