It's probably a good thing that Payoff Week falls at the beginning of the term. Gives everyone the chance to play catch-up after a week of stumbling into class and/or weeping over their essays.

I'm worried about you Is it as bad as you thought?
Brayden What time are you done teaching Friday? |

Miss Hannah Lane It would appear that temporary ownership has been interred to me. Do not be alarmed or frightened, I'm not a devil out to cause you harm. My assessor is in possession of your friend Cameron this week. Perhaps you two would like to spend some time together. Tonight you'll be having dinner with me, and Friday we all will be having dinner together.
Kitten It seems our Cameron's friend is in our possession the rest of the week. Shall we discuss what I have in mind for Friday?
Mr. Rigdon Friday, you, I, Tessa, and Hannah will be having dinner together at my home. I suggest you do not make fuss about this or things will become unpleasant rather quickly for young Hannah. |

I have not heard from you since Payoff Week began, and to be truthful, it is worrisome. I hope you are not abused; I know it is probably beyond the realm of hope that you're being treated with kindness. Let me know how you're faring. |

To me, I can't really ever say he'll be one thing. Die Hard was the first movie I ever saw in theaters, though I was so young my only real memory of was rather traumatizing and I have to question my mother's wisdom in bringing a 2 year old to a movie like that. Or any movie. Apparently I slept through most of it.
But then, he's also my Sheriff of Nottingham, forever giving me new appreciations for spoons and their roles as deadly weapons.
And Metatron...what can I say about Metatron? Nothing, that's what. He defies description.
But I guess I'll remember him best the way most people do now. I read Harry Potter in college and though I missed all but the last film in theaters (Thanks, ABC Family, for your relentless overuse of the Harry Potter weekend), he was such a presence. So completely what I had expected to see. Truly a flawless performance from an amazing actor.
You will be missed, Sir. Greatly, and by all. |

What can I say about the passing of Alan Rickman that hasn't already been said? He was an incredible actor, a veritable chameleon, and his work stands as a testament to that.
I had the distinct honour of getting to see him in two different shows on Broadway, and both times he was friendly and gracious as he smiled for pictures and gave autographs.
I think I'll watch Dogma tonight while I'm grading assignments. If anyone would like to join me, my door will be unlocked. |
