Who: L.L., Loki and Thor.
When: June 3rd, 2017; after Mia's visit with James.
Where: New York, New York.
What: L.L. and Loki attempt to have a normal, fun night despite lingering trauma caused by the whole HYDRA fiasco. Oh, and Thor tags along because big brother's gotta protect, yo.
Rating: Low.
Mia's visit with James seemed to have gone well. James looked to be in brighter spirits when she stole a peek into the room while they were talking. She was glad. It was a good thing that Mia came because no matter how much L.L. tried, she couldn't raise his spirits quite like Mia's visit had. She was one of them: a captor holding him against his will. He was nice to her and seemed to remember her well enough, but he wasn't particularly inclined to open up to her. It was unfortunate.
Once she got Mia to her desired destination, L.L. ported to the hotel room she had been staying at. Ever since she came out of hiding, she had avoided staying in her apartment for long periods of time. It didn't feel safe there anymore after the whole ordeal with HYDRA. She knew she couldn't stay there, but finding another place would take time, so she checked into a hotel room. It wasn't anything special; a simple room at an average hotel. It was a far cry from the hotel rooms she had reserved for the night out with Loki and James, but that was okay. The less attention she drew to herself the better.
She fell backwards onto the bed with arms spread wide and stared at the ceiling. Loki wanted to hang out. The insistence on them going out to do something fun was sudden, but not unexpected. He had been worried about her since his rescue and admitting to killing Olivia only made it worse. He didn't need to be doing that; he should be concentrating on himself and getting better. She let out a sigh. She never should have said anything.
A soft sound came from her purse. A text. She looked over for a moment before finally rolling off the bed and going to the table to retrieve her phone. One of the first things she did when things finally settled after the HYDRA incident was get a new phone and number. She made sure everyone that needed to know her number was aware of the change and just refused to add anyone into her contacts that didn't fit into the 'need to know' category. Her contacts had grown considerably small.
She looked down at the newly arrived text and of course it was from Loki. L.L. stared at the screen for a long moment. No point in trying to wiggle her way out of this. Besides, it might be good for them. Gods knew she could use a distraction. With deft fingers, she typed out a reply before picking up her purse and putting the phone away. She created a portal and went through, stepping into the room that she knew Loki would be in.
“Hey,” she greeted with a small smile.
