Catching the ID card, Batman glanced at it and tucked it away into one of the pouches in his belt as he quickly committed to memory the number Gordon recited for him. Twelve digits. He turned it over in his mind to see if it meant anything as he rappelled down the side of the building to join Dinah on the pavement near her bike.
Twelve digits, repeating numbers, no ones - the easiest solution was a phone keypad substitution. Three letters per number, beginning with the second key. He ran through the various combinations and after a minute, he got it. He finished the word to be sure.
"Jack-o-Lantern," he told her. "Gordon said Crane's passcode was 522565268376. Exchange the numbers for one of the letters represented by that number on a telephone keypad, you get the word 'Jack-o-lantern."
He nodded to her bike. "Following, or riding with me?"
