He saw Red Hood move before he saw the gunman, flattening against the wall instinctively before slipping around the corner for cover. His eyes hardened a bit. "I keep them alive when I can, and if it's civilian criminal work, no, I don't kill. In a war zone? That's different." To punctuate the statement he threw the shield backhanded down the hall, catching some of the bullet spray before it made it to them, bullets scattering into the walls. The shield bound on, deflected around the hall's bend to the gunman and pinged him soundly in the temple. Then it promptly stuck into the wall on the other side.
