Thread: Bobbi and open like yo mama.
Who: Bobbi and open
What: AN ACTUAL CAT IN A TREE (aka Stacey has insomnia)
When: April fourth
Where: Central Park.
Every day Bobbi took a run. It had been part of her routine for as long as she could remember. She was fast with long legs, and a complete natural. She in high school, and paid for part of her college with it as well. Her mom basically had an entire trophy case dedicated to it.
Normally if she was busy, she would just use the treadmill at work, but every time she could, she preferred to do so outside.
And she'd been at it for a while, but it wasn't until she turned a corner on the trail that she stopped. Two kids, a boy and girl and obviously siblings (impeccably dressed), were standing by the side near a tree. The girl pushed her brother, and just as Bobbi's song was fading out on her iPod she heard an extremely loud. "Brian! Mom is going to kill us!"
The boy was holding what looked like a leash attached to an empty collar. The girl gestured upwards and Bobbi couldn't help but glance up. There was a cat up the tree. It was puffy and rather bitchy looking cat. Definitely an animal someone spends big bucks for as a status symbol.
"You said you wanted to take it outside!"
"You SAID the collar would WORK!"
Bobbi couldn't help it. "You two tried to put a cat on a leash, seriously? That was a stupid idea." No sugar coating it even if they were kids. They were old enough to get here to the park and know their way alone by themselves. They were old enough to know better.
The two jumped a mile, but quickly returned to their bickering, and Bobbi put her headphones back in her ears. She was going to go on her way, until she saw the boy pitifully try to jump and reach the lowest branch (one she herself would have to seriously jump for) only to fall on his butt.
She pulled back off her ear phones. "Back away." She said. Once the kids were out of the way, Bobbi took off at a run towards the tree, she used the trunk to take a large step on to propel herself up to the branch. From there it was only a few more before she was level with said cat. God, she was just far more of a dog person. "If you scratch me, I'm going to drop you." She sat on the branch for a minute before reaching for the cat. It hissed rather unpleasantly. "Remember, drop you." The cat seemed to understand because it was still and quiet when Bobbi held it to her chest with one arm and climbed down.
The kids were nothing but grateful. "Thank you!" The girl said taking the cat.
"Yeah, your welcome," Bobbi said quickly as they kids took off at a jog for their home. "And stop doing dumb things!" She called out after them.
