'OHHHHHHHH!'
Lois slammed back the shot with a grin, giving the crowd of similar drinkers around her two thumbs up as they laughed and applauded, then immediately urged everyone to be quiet again so that they could focus on the news.
Fox news, to be exact.
She always maneuvered herself into a place of prominence at the bar, up front and center, where she could see and be seen, and this time was no different - Lois was expecting company, and she wanted whomever walked through that door to be able to notice her.
Despite the fact that this was a country/western bar, and that at any other time, there would be dancing, right now the music was down and the television was up. Nearly everyone in the bar was watching it too, a waiter hurriedly passing out shots before seconds later -
'OHHHHHHHHHHH!'
Lois slammed back her shot again, high-fived the large man next to her, and asked for some salt and lime, which sent up a chorus of approving hoots that were immediately shushed, especially when Lois threw peanut shells at the screen in a fit of frustration over something someone had said that they had missed.
They had limited time to play tonight, and she didn't come in often, but Mrs. Lane-Kent's visits were infamous at The Last Round-Up now. No one knew the real reason she'd started the drinking game, and few actually cared about the politics they were watching, but Lois had was of making herself heard.
And they liked watching her drink like sailor, even if she never got drunk.
