Daisy slept like a teenager - like the dead and face down, sprawled across the width of the single, one knee drawn beneath her almost to her shoulder. At the sound of Fury's voice, the arm wrapped awkwardly around her head dragged down across her her sleep reddened face as it turned in search of it, eyes opening into bleary slits.
"Wha-" Straightening out into a feline stretch, Daisy came fully alert with the realization that someone was in her room and immediately her eyes began to glow with a bluish-white light, her still-gloved hands warming to red in the split-second before she realized who it was. "You."
A grin split her face, dimples appearing as her eyes returned to sapphire blue. It had been almost a year since he'd dumped her here and Daisy put both hands to her head in excitement, bed head mashed down as she stared at him. The first time he'd shown up, Fury had changed her life. Sure as shit he was going to do it again.
"Fury!" It was a loud whisper, but Daisy launched herself at him, throwing her arms around his neck in an enthusiastic hug. "It's about fucking time!"
