Re: Matt & Blake
He wasn't entirely sure that Dr. Blake caught his joke or if he was just letting it lie for politeness' sake, but Matt hardly minded either way. "I can certainly see how a man who can't make it to the doctor's office might be more in need of a doctor than one that can." He agreed, turning his head towards the sound of Blake's voice when he sat down and moving to lean his cane up against the arm of his own chair, easily within reach.
Murdock couldn't help but chuckle at what the doctor had received as payment- if only because he had been in similar situations numerous times. That was one of the consequences of performing their kinds of services outside of major metropolitan areas; but it didn't mean that out-of-the-way towns like this one didn't need healthcare or justice. It just meant those who provided it would need to be more lenient when it came to payment options.
"I have about as much use for goats as you do, Doctor. And I'm not in a habit of paying for things I have no use for." He said amicably, "Besides- the less my office smells like a barn, the happier I'll be. I do hope though that you didn't leave them in your office unattended?"
