Tony had to raise an eyebrow as Kal had a very idealistic suggestion for what Jason wanted; he couldn't say that it was essentially wrong, as he thought about what he'd want if his father suddenly came back from the dead, but it sure sounded shiny. Shiny like the suit. "He was hiding something and you couldn't pry it out of him?" Tony had to ask, just a little incredulous. He supposed the boy had been trained by Bruce and that made him immune to certain techniques, but it was still a rare person who Bruce couldn't pry answers out of.
Granted, if Jason was here to commit mass homicide, then he probably couldn't be intimidated by much anyways. Even if Tony sometimes disagreed with that particular policy in his own missions - a suit of armor didn't quite do "non-lethal" when being shot at by his own bootlegged weapons - it was Batman's staunch stance. Even if, given the blow to the bag, he easily could.
Even if people kept arguing that he should, particularly when it was someone like the Joker. Tony opened his mouth to argue that it wasn't his fault...but even if it wasn't his fault, it was still his responsibility, if only because he'd claimed that it was. It hadn't really been Tony's fault his weapons were taken behind his back and sold to terrorists, but it was still his to take care of.
"Okay," he agreed quietly, and it was his turn to put a hand on Bruce's shoulder, briefly. "Tell us how we can help." Because responsibilities didn't mean you couldn't utilize all the resources at your disposal, particularly if one was Superman and the other was a genius billionaire with a suit of advanced armor and a particular skill-set.
