It had been a chore getting out of the house. The manor had been his first true home and to this day he found himself wandering it's halls and scaring the bats down in the cave. Alfie had requested his help in a few simple matters because he knew the young man was a worker if anything else. So it had been a shock to see he should have left ten minutes ago! Pulling on his work out clothes, he jumped into a second layer before dashing out into the brisk air. He moved with confidence, mounting his bike and adjusting the collar of a jacket that Babs had given him that year. With a roar of sound he peeled out into the afternoon.
The drive was soothing and only twice did he catch the flash of black and white that signaled a cop car. Fortunately for him he was going fast enough to warrant a high speed chase. He was a speed freak, sue him!
It didn't take him long to find the school once he'd crossed into the appropriate borough. The bike purred as he cruised to a stop and kicked out the stand. The engine died away and snow crunched underfoot at Dick dismounted and removed his helmet. Those blue eyes immediately picked out Dinah and he flashed her that grin. "Sorry, I left late just to give myself a challenge."
