Tommy shifted a little when Teddy settled Eira into his arms. She was so tiny and so warm. He tensed as he tried to figure out some happy medium between making sure she was secure in his arms and not squeezing too tight. He looked down at her, quirky a slight smile.
Carefully, he set her down in her crib then waited for any sudden screams or cries. Tommy didn't always listen to Teddy (the guy liked to play it safe) but today was the exception. Luckily, Eira only shifted slightly before settling down. Tommy pulled the small blanket over her then wandered back to Teddy and Pietro.
"What's up?" he asked, interrupting their conversation, albeit in a soft tone of voice, "We're home free, right?"
