Alan thought it was a damn shame that the only time he could get everyone together under one roof was during the holidays, but he certainly wasn't about to complain. Alan was happy to open the doors to his home to those that he would consider his family and friends, new and old. As the man got older, it was becoming more and more clear what was important in life. The holidays for Alan Scott, the original Green Lantern, was always a tad bittersweet, his own daughter and son already grown adults before they shared their first holidays together and now he had to make up for lost time.
Crash!
Or maybe not...
"I'm telling,dad—"
"You would—"
"What's that suppose to mean?"
"Alright you two," Alan said, joining his bickering twins in the dining room as he looked down at the scene of the crime—a plate lying on the floor, smashed into a million pieces.
"Am I going to have to separate you two?" Alan teased. "Its just a plate. So, long as someone cleans it up—"
"You broke it."
"Did not."
"Fine, I'll just do it."
"Brown nose."
Alan shook his head and left the room as he made his way back to the kitchen, remembering now why it was he only got everyone together once a year and poured himself a hefty glass of wine, while he waited for his guests to arrive and to finish cooking.
