Tommy made a bit of a face as Mia mentioned the youth center. It was more of a grimace really. Social workers pretending to care, the occasional religious preaching and the general community trying to pretend that life didn't suck and that the power of positive thinking would always win out. Not only was it completely unrealistic but way uncool.
"You'd fit in a few restaurants," Tommy replied, hoping to move the conversation away from Mia's job. "There's this one place where all the servers get paid to insult their customers. The crap some people will pay for, right?"
