Teddy looked to the two giants that were downed, green hands becoming less layered with claw as he felt at their throats to see if they were alive.
"Guys, be more careful! I don't think we should be out to kill them."
Cause frankly, Teddy didn't like the thought, warrior ice giants or no. And these didn't seem like mere ice golems. They seemed like intelligent individuals.
"I think they're just out cold... Least this one is still alive." He looked over at the one chasing Tommy and Eli, head shaking, then looked around till he spotted where Kate had landed on the rooftop, hand to the com at his ear. "Any ideas on how we can find out why they're here? I mean, if we could find a way to talk with them or-WHOA!"
The "knocked out" giant's hand had grabbed his calf, and he got slapped against the street hard. "Ow!" he complained. He was slapped to the other side as the giant got to his feet. "Double ow," he grunted with a grimace. Then he scowled as the giant hefted its nasty mace. His own hands lifted, giant claws extending out.
To his surprise the giant jerked its head to the side though and flung the mace purposely. Then it reached down for Teddy's face with a grin.
Teddy's clawed hand met it, pushing it back. On the ground he didn't have the necessary leverage, and the giants easily out-massed him. But he was stronger. He shoved back forcefully, trying to sit up. Then felt the icy prickles working down his arm.
He looked warily at the frost coating his hand and crawling toward his elbow, felt the deep cold sting that turned too quickly to numbness. He tried to shift and pull it back.
He could only pull the arm back. The giant released and tried to grab his face. He blocked with the forearm. Damn its longer reach! The cold continued, till he felt something in his forearm shift. Like hard splinters.
"Get... OFF... ME!" Teddy rolled one way, then jerked wildly to the right. The giant was now having a hard time hanging on to the angry teen, a look of surprise on its face, like when a man catches a fish and realizes he can barely hang on to the pole...
